#BANG & LEE
방앤리는 방자영과 이윤준으로 구성된 2인 컬렉티브이다. 뉴미디어 아트 설치를 바탕으로 전개되어 온 이들의 프로젝트는 인터랙티브 미디어 아트, 키네틱 라이트, 센서 기반 악기 등이 등장하는 실험적인 무대와 닮았다. 장소와 상황에 따라 변형되는 설치는 가변적이며 작품의 재배치에 따라 또 다른 면으로 확장되면서 일종의 프랙털 구조를 만든다. 대부분 부조리한 상황이나 모순과 관련된 프로젝트의 주제는 역사적 자료와 허구적 속성을 통합하여 미디어와 테크놀로지의 관계, 우정과 협업의 개념을 재해석한 내용으로 반영된다. 방앤리의 작업은 독일 카를스루에 예술과 미디어 센터, 이탈리아 로마 21세기 국립현대미술관, 프랑스 마르세유 라 프리쉬, 중국 상해 현대미술관, 백남준 아트센터, 서울시립미술관, 아르코미술관, 아트센터 나비, 대안공간 루프, 토탈미술관 등에서 전시되었다.
Bang & Lee is an artist collective based in Seoul. Often concerned with the theme of absurdity and irony, their projects involve assemblage, interactive light art installation, tangible instrument, computer-generated montage, and stage technology toward an immersive media incorporating various historical references, fictions, and emerging notions of media with an emphasis on their interpretation of collaboration and friendship. Their works have been exhibited at Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe, Germany, MAXXI Rome, Italy, La Friche Belle de Mai Marseilles, France, MoCA Shanghai, China, Nam June Paik Art Center Yongin, Korea, Seoul Museum of Art, Arko Art Center, Art Center Nabi, Alternative Space Loop, Total Museum of Art Seoul, Korea.
